PDX MINI provides a home for enthusiasts and owners of the new MINI COOPER and
COOPER S cars as well as owners of classic MINIs in the
Portland, Oregon metro area. We have 127 Members, 230 People, and 142 Cars
in our Club!

Wheels to MINI Meals

The average client of Loaves & Fishes (Meals on Wheels) is living in a home just south of the poverty line and serves as a reminder that life doesn't always end well. As the economy continues to circle the drain and gas prices continue to soar, the 5,000 meals Loaves & Fishes delivers in Multnomah, Washington and Clark counties are increasingly important . . . and increasingly imperiled. Most of the regular volunteers are senior citizens themselves on fixed incomes.
Our volunteers (30 MINIs with driver and navigator) not only provided the only meal that many of
these seniors get in one day but they also provided that little bit of interaction that the recipients needed and gave those regular volunteers a little relief from the high gas prices.
At lunch we heard stories of people just wanting hugs, a couple were invited to block parties, and also a run in with an
Elvis impersonator who serenaded a couple of our lucky volunteers.
For those of you that could not make it, please make the time to volunteer; we can promise you this: As you drive home or back to work, you will have the rare opportunity to see the world in a whole new light. You will realize what a luxury it is to spend your time with your friends and family or just to be able to go to the store, stand in the aisle and pick out something to eat that you are in the "mood" for that night.

International Raceway (PIR)

MINI Takes The States
Two years ago, MINI Takes the States motored
coast-to-coast with thousands of MINI Owners and enthusiasts
joining up for a legendary motoring extravaganza. This year,
though, everyone hoped even more folks could get in on the fun.
So MINI owners voted to visit four U.S. cities for four separate
weekends of good times, including the chance to drive a MINI on
an aggressive autocross course.
